It means that one (or more) of your subjects has not been evaluated. Many a time, students erroneously fill out the OMR sheet (front page), which results in:
- Answer scripts going to the wrong evaluation center
- Answer scripts ending up with a wrong evaluator (of a different subject than yours)
- Error in scanning the answer script for its digital copy which is vital for evaluation (since evaluations are completely digital
In such cases, VTU initiates an investigation in which your USN is tracked and drilled down manually to your college and department. After getting suitable approval from your college Principal, the answer script goes to the appropriate evaluation center and evaluator. Such a process takes at least two or three weeks and sometimes goes up to one or two months.
In order to avoid such delays or your results being withheld, please spend at least 10 minutes before the start of your examination in filling out your OMR sheet /front page. Also, keep in mind NOT to scratch or use a whitener.
What Should you do? If the issue doesn’t get resolved?
If you have your result withhold just inform to your college examination section, Provide the neccessary details. Your College would handle it from there.
